Myself and Wayne aka Rug, a Damiki Field Staffer and also from KFDU hit St Georges Basin on Friday in an attempt to capture some Bream. We were blessed with favourable conditions early on but the wind really blew up around mid day which saw us cut the trip short. My first cast had a Flatty all over my Crank Crank with Rug’s second cast resulting in another on a Damiki Crank 40. The positive start had us with high hopes but it wasn’t our day. A few undersized fish from Bream, Tailor and Flatty’s made it aboard, but nothing to boast about this time around.
